South Central Area Offices

The South Central Area is one of five administrative areas used by Dublin City Council to co-ordinate the delivery of services in the city. The area has a population of approximately 127,000 and is located in the south-west quadrant of Dublin City, south of the Liffey and stretching from Patrick Street and Clanbrassil Street in the city centre to Cherry Orchard and the city boundary at the M50. 

It includes many well-established communities and neighbourhoods including The Liberties, Kilmainham, Inchicore, Chapelizod, Ballyfermot, Bluebell, Drimnagh, Rialto, and Walkinstown
