Jamestown Road Roundabout Upgrade Scheme

This new scheme aims to enhance pedestrian and cyclist safety and accessibility at the Jamestown Road Roundabout by converting it into a signal-controlled junction. It is currently in the Concept Development and Option Selection phase.

The roundabout lies on the boundary between Dublin City Council and Fingal County Council. This boundary runs along Jamestown Road in a north-south direction and through the commercial area to the south of Melville Road in an east-west direction.

This scheme forms part of Dublin City Council's 314km Active Travel Network. To see where it fits into this citywide network, you can view our interactive GIS map.

The scheme will provide quality, protected walking and cycling facilities to cater for everyone. It will facilitate a more active lifestyle for all ages, bringing multiple benefits for physical and mental wellbeing.
