The demolition project is currently onsite.

Demolition works commenced on site on 5th May 2026, with demolition contractors currently on site. These works are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Construction of the 152 new social homes is anticipated to begin in 2028.

Phase 1 of the redevelopment of Cromcastle Court & the Old Coalyard site will deliver 152 new homes. These new homes will be a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom social homes and include 34 Older Persons homes on the Old Coalyard site.

Part 8 Planning was achieved at the City Council meeting on 9th February 2026.
