Pride of place 2026

Following the success of last year's wonderful celebration in Limerick, preparations are now well underway for the 2026 IPB Pride of Place Awards in the Convention center Dublin. This marks the 24th year of the programme and a particularly significant milestone as our headline sponsor, IPB Insurance, celebrates its 100th anniversary.

The 2026 awards were officially launched on 15th June 2026, marking the beginning of another exciting year of recognizing outstanding community achievement across the island of Ireland. 

Nominations are now being submitted by liaison officers from local authorities across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Each year, the awards recognise the dedication of community groups, volunteers and local organizations whose work strengthens civic pride, promotes inclusion and enhances the places where people live.

Our panel of volunteer judges is preparing for a busy programme of visits throughout the summer, during which they will experience first-hand the inspiring work taking place in towns, villages and neighborhoods across the country. We look forward to seeing another exceptional range of entries that showcase the positive impact of community-led initiatives.

The 2026 IPB Pride of Place Awards will take place on Saturday, 24th October 2026, at the Convention Centre Dublin, with Dublin City Council hosting this year's event. The ceremony promises to be another memorable occasion, bringing together communities from across Ireland to celebrate their achievements and the remarkable contribution they make to local life.
