A beginner cooking and baking with Mary Berry

When the lockdown restrictions began last year, like a lot of people I made my first tentative steps into cooking and baking from scratch. 

One of the books I first sought out to guide me on my tumultuous culinary journey was Mary Berry‘s How To Cook. It was a great help, with very simple, easy to understand instructions for a newbie like me!

In no time at all I was cooking soups, and baking bread, and brownies.

In Quick Cooking, Mary gives easy to understand, simple recipes and instructions which can be prepped and cooked in thirty minutes or less. From speedy soups and stews to easy to prepare curries and tagine. 

Quick Cooking contains over 120 recipes and is a perfect guide to easy cooking for the cold few months ahead. Looking for a fast, satisfying supper? There’s Crumble fish pie, Lamb tagine with preserved lemon or Pan-fried spiced falafels. Something special for Sunday lunch or dinner with friends? Roast Venison fillet and peppercorn sauce, 30-minute Beef ragu or Roast fillet pork with sage and mustard sauce followed by Upside-down rhubarb pudding.
