My Open Library gives existing library members who register for the service extended access to these libraries outside of staffed hours.

What is My Open Library? 

My Open Library is a self-service library service that allows registered users to access the building and facilities when staff are not present. 

You can: 

  • Browse and borrow books
  • Use study and reading spaces
  • Access public computers and Wi-Fi
  • Return items using self-service 

Who can use it? 

To use My Open Library, you must: 

  • Be a registered Dublin City Libraries member (i.e. already have a valid library card)
  • Be aged 16 or over
  • Have your account in good standing 

My Open Library is an additional service for existing members
