The Dodder Anglers Association has commissioned a habitat rehabilitation project aimed at improving the ecological conditions and salmonid recruitment in this section of the River Dodder. These works will bring the channel quality in Herbert Park up to the same high standard as previously rehabilitated upstream and downstream sections.

This initiative has been sanctioned by Inland Fisheries Ireland, following the submission of all necessary documentation and a series of consultations. On-site consultations have taken place with Inland Fisheries, the National Parks and Wildlife Service, and Lorraine Bull, former Biodiversity Officer at Dublin City Council.

The works will be carried out by Rivus Ltd, specialists in river rehabilitation projects. Rivus Ltd previously delivered high-quality instream works on the Dodder in collaboration with Dublin City Council and the Office of Public Works.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this important environmental enhancement project.
