Our Mission
We are committed to:

  • Inspiring local residents to launch their own businesses
  • Enhancing the profile and vibrancy of Ballymun as a thriving business community
  • Attracting innovative businesses to establish and grow in the Ballymun area

What is StartUp Ballymun?
StartUp Ballymun is more than just an event – it’s a dynamic platform where startups and established business owners come together to connect, learn, and grow. Participants gain access to free expert business advice, discover valuable local support services, and hear firsthand from our “Panel of Entrepreneurs” – a group of successful business leaders sharing their insights and stories.

Since its launch in 2016, StartUp Ballymun has become a cornerstone for economic and social development in the region. Each year, the event gathers a diverse community of entrepreneurs, local business owners, and industry experts, positioning Ballymun as an emerging hub of enterprise in North Dublin.

Community and Impact
Over 11 successful events, more than 60 business leaders from a wide range of sectors have contributed by sharing their growth journeys. Some of the businesses featured include iCabbi, Funky Monkey Foods, Bees on the Roof, Chocolatey Clare, Kianda Technologies, Oishii Foods, Hairweavon and Paddy Box, among many others. Their participation highlights the rich entrepreneurial spirit and diversity of innovation in the area.

Upcoming Event: Innovation In Action
Join us on Wednesday, 25th June, at the Council Chamber in Ballymun Civic Centre for our next StartUp Ballymun event, themed “Growing Business with Smart Digital Tools.” This event will feature a panel of small business owners who will share how digital technologies have powered their growth.

We are excited to welcome Bobby Healy, owner of Manna Drone Delivery, as our keynote speaker. Bobby will discuss his journey in launching and expanding a cutting-edge drone delivery service. The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) will also be onsite, offering mentoring and business support to attendees.
