Environmental Assessments

An Environmental Impact Assessment Screening and an Appropriate Assessment Screening were both carried out for this scheme. Both of these screenings concluded that an Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Appropriate Assessment Report are not required for the scheme. Reports on Green Infrastructure and Trees

The Finglas Village Improvement Scheme is designed with regard to the Dublin City Climate Action Plan to mitigate climate change and minimise environmental impacts. Nature‐based Sustainable Urban Drainage systems will be installed to manage surface‐water. Proposed green infrastructure elements are outlined in the report below.

A variety of tree species will also be planted to enhance biodiversity. The scheme will minimise the loss of trees and our objective is to replant two trees for every one removed. An Arboricultural Assessment Report, which includes a tree survey and a tree protection plan, was prepared and can be downloaded below.
