The project includes Duke Street, South Anne Street, Lemon Street, Duke Lane Upper, Duke Lane Lower and Anne’s Lane. These are important pedestrian routes linking South Dublin City’s primary retail street, Grafton Street, with the South Georgian City via Dawson Street. The project covers approximately 1.35km in perimeter or 5,300 square metres in area and will involve 2500sqm of new granite paving. The project will also include 10 new public benches and 2 new water bottle fillings stations
Yes, any re-usable materials are being taken from site for storage and will be re-used at a future date on other projects.
Yes we hope to plant 11 new trees as part of the project.
The project got Part 8 Planning Approval in April’23 (91/2023)
Dublin City Council Road Design Division is the designer of the project.
June 2025
It is expected to take 2 years to complete.
Access to residences and local businesses will be maintained at all times.
