Consultation
Learn more about the insights gathered through consultation here.
We have been engaging with the public and stakeholders about their current use of the project area.
Dublin City Council and the Integrated Design Team have carried out extensive consultation to gather insights from the people who use College Green and Dame Street every day.
Who we’ve heard from:
Residents, businesses & community groups
Who participated in interactive workshops and shared views on how the space works — and how it could improve.
Disabled Persons Representative Organisations (DPROs)
Who joined walkabouts and virtual sessions to highlight barriers and share accessibility best practices.
The Public
2,100+ people took part in an online survey, giving valuable input on how they use the area and what changes they’d like to see.
What we’ve learned:
Call for improvement of space to better reflect Dublin’s heritage and character
Strong demand for a more inclusive, accessible space
Need for safer, more enjoyable pedestrian experiences
Desire for a space that supports community, culture, and local business.
