Financial Accounting
The Financial Accounting Unit is responsible for Treasury Management, Financial Accounting, Asset Accounting and Oracle Financial Management System. The Head of Financial Accounting also has responsibility for Payroll.
The Unit develops and maintains the Financial Accounting Systems to ensure that Dublin City Council complies with its statutory and corporate reporting requirements. Treasury Management deals with investing surplus funds, cashflows and cash receipting.
The Annual Financial Statement is prepared each calendar year and audited by the Local Government Auditors. This unit undertakes the development of financial procedures and internal controls.
