Set in stunning Corca Dhuibhne, Dingle Peninsula, TARRAC, award-winning Irishlanguage film, tells the story of Aoife Ni Bhraoin (Kelly Gough), who returns home to help her father Brendan ‘The Bear’ O’Briain (Lorcan Cranitch) in his recovery from a heart attack. Aoife reacquaints with an all female rowing team, who against the odds, take on a high stakes Naomhóg rowing competition.
Declan Recks has directed many top-rated shows on Irish television including the critically acclaimed Pure Mule, The Running Mate and Scúp. He has directed feature films including Eden (for which Eileen Walsh won Best Actress at Tribeca Film Festival), The Truth Commissioner, The Flag and TARRAC. Recent TV credits include episodes of Death in Paradise, Nova Jones and Red Election
