These Community Development Officers liaise with community members from all backgrounds helping to build strong social networks, which are essential for viable, inclusive, sustainable communities. They work to give everyone in the community the opportunity to participate in the life of the city and have their voices heard.

Staff are involved in a large range of projects annually, for example, family fun days, Resident Associations, local festivals, environmental initiatives such as area clean ups and flower/shrub planting; as well as age-friendly initiatives such as “Passport for Leisure” and social inclusion initiatives such as ”Let's Walk and Talk”.

Community Grants

There are two different application forms available under the scheme: one is for a Community Grant and one is for the separate category of Informal Adult Education.
