Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road Roadworks and Construction Updates

Resurfacing Bridge Street and Fitzwilliam Quay Works – 3rd March 2026
As part of the Dodder Greenway Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road scheme resurfacing works need to be completed on the junction of Bridge St and Fitzwilliam Quay during the evening of the 3rd of March 2026 between 19h30PM and 06h00AM. The extent of the stop-go closures will be along the outbound and inbound lane of Bridge St and Fitzwilliam Quay crossing. The following adjacent streets' traffic movement will also be affected by the proposed roadworks:
- South Dock Road
- South Lotts Road
- Thorncastle Street
- Fitzwilliam Street
The proposed works will include completing resurfacing the Bridge St/ Fitzwilliam Quay junction.
The proposed temporary traffic management plans for the works are attached for reference.
Pedestrian access through the site will be safely maintained at all times during the works.

As part of the Dodder Greenway Fitzwilliam Quay to Londonbridge Road scheme roadworks need to be completed on the junction of Bridge St and Fitzwilliam Quay on the 24th of January 2025 between 09h00AM and 20h00PM. The extent of the stop-go closure will be along the outbound and inbound lane of Bridge St and Fitzwilliam Quay crossing. The following adjacent streets' traffic movement will also be affected by the proposed roadworks:
- South Dock Road
- South Lotts Road
- Thorncastle Street
- Fitzwilliam Street
The proposed works will include trenching across Bridge Street for traffic duct installation.
The proposed temporary traffic management plans for the works are attached for reference.
Pedestrian access through the site will be safely maintained at all times during the works.
