Firefighter

Nobody likes to imagine children having to make life saving decisions but unfortunately it does happen.

Suzie saves the day, by John ‘Zippy’ Edmonds, is about a young girl who learns about emergencies through imaginative play with her teddy, Blue.

Along with this play and conversations with her parents, Suzie knows just what to do in an emergency. Suzie is with her Grandad when he becomes unwell and thanks to the skills she has learned, she knows how to call an ambulance.

Dublin Fire Brigade are delighted to feature in this book, which has our ambulance on the front cover.

Two percent of all proceeds will be donated directly to the charity Oscar’s Kids.

Dublin Fire Brigade started a partnership with Oscar’s Kids in September 2023. Through this partnership, Oscar District was formed. We now have 24 Honorary Firefighter/Paramedics in Oscar District.

This is John’s second book, to complement his first which was called, Get out safely with Firefighter Zippy.

Both books can be found on www.quickthinkingkids.com

QuickThinkingKids is also available on social media via Facebook and Instagram.
