The Children's Book Festival is back this October! With over 40 reading events taking place in our libraries, there's something for everyone.

One of the aims of the collection is to reassure parents that we have books in stock for them specifically, as sterile as possible if they are nervous about infection

Every child in the country starting in junior infants in September 2025 will receive a bag containing three books covering the themes of going to school, friendship, and being comfortable in yourself.

To use a library resource, and to use it from home, you may need your library card and password.

Summer Stars runs fromthe 3 of June - 30 of August 2025. Get Reading! Now that school is over you can still spark your imagination, join in activities and take part in our exciting Summer Stars challenge.

A free bedtime story book and library card wallet are available at the library for all children of 4 years and under, to pick up and keep.  This exciting initiative aims to engage all parents of young children to read stories with them at bedtime.

Ireland Reads is a campaign to get the whole country reading during February in the lead up to a national day of reading on Saturday, February 22.

2025 is the Year of the Snake – symbolising wisdom, transformation and resilience – and the East Asian community in Dublin will come together to celebrate from January 25 until February 2.
