The newly implemented system is designed to be intuitive and accessible, allowing applicants to complete the entire process, including payment, electronically.
A Casual Trading Licence allows the holder to sell goods at a place (including a public road) to which the public has access as of right or any other place that is a casual trading area as defined by the Act.
An Event Trading Licence means licenced casual trading at an event or events specified in the licence or at or in the immediate vicinity of the place where, and on the day or days on which the event takes place.
In addition, since last year applications for Street Performers Permits may also be made through the online platform.
There were 2,600 event trading licences issued in 2024 and 617 Street Performers Permits.
