Celebrate National Biodiversity Week with Dublin City Council!

Dublin City Council’s Biodiversity Team invites you to join us for National Biodiversity Week, which takes place from today 16th May to 25th May 2025.
This week-long celebration is packed with exciting and educational events designed to raise awareness about the importance of biodiversity and engage the community in preserving our natural habitats.
Featuring renowned experts from organisations including Bat Conservation Ireland, Birdwatch Ireland, Dublin Naturalist Field Club and Hedgerows Ireland, there's something for everyone!
Highlights include talks by botanist Declan Doogue on the history of Caleb Threlkeld and the power of citizen science, a guided cycle exploring the unique landscapes and wildlife of North Bull Island, and interactive sessions on building mini ponds and bat conservation.
Join us to support and promote biodiversity in our community and inspire others to take action in preserving our natural environment.
