Charity Ball

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain is delighted to announce the Lord Mayor of Dublin’s Charity Ball 2025 held on Saturday 10th May, raised €135,000 for the three nominated charities - The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

The Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball was sponsored by EHL Experiences and the Office of the Lord Mayor. Thanks to this sponsorship, all monies raised through ticket sales and on the night went directly to the three charities.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain said, “Since 2013, the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball has raised over €1,000,000 for deserving charities that provide support to so many in our city.  I was honoured to be able to help raise awareness and €135,000 for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Dublin Rape Crisis Centre who do such important work for the citizens of Dublin.  Thank you to all those who supported the Lord Mayor’s Charity Ball and to EHL Experiences for their sponsorship, ensuring all funds raised went directly to the three charities.”

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is Ireland's leading dementia-specific service provider. It works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia-specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers and operates the Alzheimer National Helpline offering information and support to anyone affected by dementia on 1800 341 341.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) is dedicated to increasing knowledge and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a rare, progressive, genetic condition.  CFI provide advice, support and services to people living with CF and their families, while also investing in research, specialist CF clinical teams and services to improve care for those living with CF and ultimately find a cure.

Dublin Rape Crisis Centre is an independent charity with a dual mission: to prevent the harm and heal the trauma of rape and other forms of sexual violence. Since 1979, from its Centre in Dublin, it has provided services across the country supporting survivors of sexual assault in healing from their trauma. DRCC operates the 24-hour National Helpline, which had almost 19,000 contacts in 2023.  The organisation accompanied almost 600 survivors to Sexual Assault Treatment Units for medical care after sexual assault or rape and/or to Garda Stations and Courts in 2023.  Dublin Rape Crisis Centre runs trauma-informed training for frontline staff and professionals to equip them with specialised knowledge and skills to support survivors.   It also seeks to prevent sexual violence through education, training, campaigning and policy work.
