Donate a Vehicle for Fire Brigade Training
Are you the registered owner of a car or vehicle that is at the end of its life? Why not donate it to Dublin Fire Brigade for training its personnel?
Dublin Fire Brigade requires scrap or end-of-life vehicles to help maintain the highest standards of Road Traffic Collision training for our firefighters and paramedics.
How We Use Donated Vehicles
Vehicle design is constantly changing and new technologies are always being introduced by manufacturers. This means that firefighters and officers need to train regularly to stay up to date with these new developments and develop their skills to safely and efficiently extricate casualties from crashed vehicles.
Donated vehicles are used to train new recruits in our training centre on the Malahide Road or to upskill current operational firefighters on-station.
Approximately 50 vehicles are donated to our training centre each year. It takes up to 25 cars to train 10 recruit firefighters during the course of a two-week Road Traffic Collision Operators course.

How to Donate a Vehicle
We consider accepting donations of all types of vehicles, not just cars. So if you have a car, van, HGV or bus that you would like to donate, please get in touch using the contact details below.
To donate a vehicle, it must be located in the greater Dublin area and you must have the vehicle's Vehicle Licence Certificate (VLC) or logbook. We will then arrange for a contractor to collect your vehicle and to issue an end-of-life certificate for your records.
