Roadworks and Construction Updates
Learn about planned roadworks and traffic management arrangements for the first phase of the Kilmainham to Thomas Street Active Travel Scheme, which will see interim walking and cycle facilities put in place from Suir Road to Thomas Street.
As part of the Suir Road to Thomas Street Interim Scheme for the section along Marrowbone Lane, Forbes Lane and James's Walk the coloured surfacing will be installed between the 14/10/2025 and the 26/10/2025. The extent of stop-go closures are along the following lanes:
· Marrowbone Lane (inbound and outbound) - planned for the 18/10/2025 and the 19/10/2025
· Forbes Lane (outbound) - planned for the 18/10/2025 and the 19/10/2025
The following adjacent streets' traffic movement will also be affected by the proposed roadworks:
- Roberts Street South
- Pim Street
- Long's Place
- Rialto Street
- South Circular Road
The proposed works will include minor line marking along the cycle track.
Pedestrian access through the site will be safely maintained at all times during the works.
