One Dublin One Book 2025: Dublin, written in our hearts

One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.
A free bedtime story book and library card wallet are available at the library for all children of 4 years and under, to pick up and keep. This exciting initiative aims to engage all parents of young children to read stories with them at bedtime.
Dublin Climate Action Week will take place from the 12–18 of May 2025 and is organised by the four Dublin Local Authorities, the Dublin Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and Dublin’s Energy Agency, Codema.

This exciting collection is designed to support children and adults with additional needs by providing access to a wide range of sensory toys and assistive tools.

World Book Day: Dublin Firefighter releases new book
To coincide with World Book Day, a Dublin Fire Brigade Firefighter/Paramedic releases new book to help teach children what to do in an emergency. Two percent of all proceeds will be donated directly to the charity Oscar’s Kids.
From 1-17 March, we’re hosting a fantastic line-up of free events, including Irish language exchanges, storytelling sessions, music performances, film screenings, and fun activities for all ages.
