Fire Safety Register Template
Dublin Fire Brigade's Fire Safety Register template can assist your business in carrying out its fire safety obligations. Download the template below.
The keeping of fire safety records is an important element of the proper fire safety management of any business premises. Dublin Fire Brigade has produced a Fire Safety Register template to help business owners keep records for specific items, such as fire doors and extinguishers.
It may also be necessary to keep records and certificates for other items such as furnishings, bedding, electrical installations and gas installations, as appropriate to your particular premises.

This template includes a list of inspections to be conducted on a daily, weekly, monthly, three-monthly, six-monthly and annual basis. It also offers advice for fire wardens, training checklists and guidance on what to do if a fire occurs.
This Fire Safety Register template has enough pages to support records for a number of years. As the register fills up, you can insert additional photocopies of unused pages as required.
Your Fire Safety Register should be kept in a safe place on the premises at all times and should be available for inspection by Dublin Fire Brigade's Fire Officers.
Assigning Fire Safety Managers
In order to comply with your responsibilities under The Fire Services Act, as well requirements under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, businesses should designate a responsible person as Fire Safety Manager.
This person will implement and oversee fire safety on your premises, including the keeping of fire safety records and the Fire Safety Register. They should take care to note the intervals at which drills, inspections, tests, inventory checks and location checks are carried out.
A Deputy Fire Safety Manager should also be appointed to fulfil these duties in the absence of the Fire Safety Manager. These two appointments should be listed in your Fire Safety Register, along with a list of trained Fire Wardens working for your company.
