Dublin City Council is delighted to announce the official opening today of 29 new residential units at Orr’s Square on Clanbrassil St in Dublin 8.

The scheme comprises a mix of 1 and 2 bed apartments, including 4 duplexes and a ground floor community unit.

It is being managed by The Iveagh Trust on behalf of Dublin City Council and was delivered through the Council’s turnkey programme, in partnership with Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

Built by Beakonshaw, this newly constructed A-rated scheme is in a prime location in the heart of Dublin 8, just north of Robert Emmet Bridge on the Grand Canal, and  c.190 metres south of the Leonard’s corner junction of Clanbrassil St Upper and the South Circular Road.

Lord Mayor of Dublin Emma Blain said:

“Today is a wonderful day for all the families and individuals who have moved into this great new development. Orr’s Square will provide secure, high-quality homes which I know will make a real difference in their lives and I wish them all every happiness here. It’s clear that the hard work and effective collaboration between Dublin City Council and the Iveagh Trust is delivering homes much needed homes in the city."

Residents started to move into their new homes in March and the complex was fully occupied by the end of April.

Mick Mulhern, Dublin City Council, Assistant Chief Executive said:

“Orr’s Square is a fantastic new housing development centrally located in the Southside of Dublin with an array of amenities, facilities and services nearby. We would like to thank Iveagh Trust for agreeing manage the scheme on our behalf. Finally, I'd like to warmly extend my best wishes to all the new residents as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their lives in their new homes.”
