Oxford Art Online gives access to an authoritative, inclusive, and easily searchable array of online art resources. Through a single gateway, library members can access and cross-search a number of acclaimed and regularly updated art reference works including The Grove Dictionary of Art and The Benezit Dictionary of Artists. In addition, this resource allows users to search a number of other art reference titles including The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, The Oxford Companion to Western Art, and The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms.

The Grove Dictionary of Art  is the definitive authority on all aspects of the visual arts, with 30,000 signed and peer-reviewed articles contributed by nearly 7,000 international scholars. Grove Art features entries on artists, architects, craftsmen, patrons, movements, locations, and periods, as well as bibliographies for further research, and thousands of searchable images made available through partnerships with museums, galleries, and other arts organisations.
