One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.

Longlist for the 2025 Dublin Literary Award Revealed
With books nominated by 80 libraries from 35 countries, four novels by Irish authors are in the running for the €100,000 prize sponsored by Dublin City Council.
Social stories explain social situations to autistic children and help them learn ways of behaving in these situations. These stories are sometimes called social scripts, social narratives or story-based interventions.

Communication boards and supports rolled out in Dublin City Libraries
Dublin City Libraries are the first public library service in the country to offer the communication boards. This is just one of a range of library measures supporting the broader Dublin City Council plan to make Dublin an autism-friendly city.
