Dublin City Council launches ‘Feel Dublin City at Christmas’ campaign
Published on 18th November 2024

Dublin City Council has today launched a new promotional campaign encouraging people to ‘Feel Dublin City at Christmas’.
The idea behind the campaign is that the city-centre at this time of year, has a ‘Christmassy’ feel to it that nowhere else does.
“Dublin at Christmas is very special, I love the feel of it, particularly in the evening time,” said the Lord Mayor of Dublin James Geoghegan. “My parents used to always bring us into town when the Christmas lights went up and it’s a tradition we have continued with my own family. There’s a feeling in the city at this time of year that you can’t get anywhere else. So I would encourage everyone to come into town this Christmas and have fun!!”
The cross-organisational, multi-channel, multi-platform Christmas campaign:
- encourages people to experience the excitement of Christmas in Dublin city;
- highlights a wide range of cultural, family and festive events throughout the city centre at Christmas;
- promotes the retail and hospitality offerings;
- makes it easy for people to find out more about events that are supported by Dublin City Council with dedicated web pages on the Dublin City Council website;
- provides information on the ease of travelling into the city
Combining the reach of press, radio, outdoor, digital and social media channels, the six-week campaign will be seen, heard and engaged with by people throughout Dublin and nationwide.
