Statement from Dublin City Council’s Crisis Management Team

Arising from the announcement by Met Éireann tonight of a Status Red wind warning, Dublin City Council’s Crisis Management Team met tonight and has decided on the following actions:
• Dublin City Council advises all commuters (pedestrians, cyclists, motorists and public transport users) to take extreme care on the roads overnight and tomorrow morning and to assess the risk of travel.
• All non-essential Dublin City Council staff should work remotely tomorrow, where possible, until 10am
• All City Libraries will remain closed until 10am tomorrow
• All City Parks will remain closed until 10am tomorrow
• All City Sports and Recreation facilities will remain closed until 10am tomorrow
• City Hall will remain closed until 10am tomorrow
Dublin City Council will have crews on standby overnight and tomorrow morning to assess any damage caused as a result of the storm and carry out repairs.
Dublin City Council’s Crisis Management Team will reconvene tomorrow morning.
