Dublin City Council Culture Company runs cultural initiatives and buildings across the city. Since 2018, its mission has been to connect the people of Dublin through culture.

By collaborating with people, communities, cultural organisations, businesses and other parts of Dublin City Council, we nurture cultural participation throughout the city.

Our Buildings

Dublin City Council Culture Company runs two buildings of historical importance - Richmond Barracks in Inchicore and 14 Henrietta Street in Dublin's north inner city.

Richmond Barracks is home to a library, garden and our Culture Connects programme, which runs activities that encourage locals to try new things and connect through culture and conversation. It is also one of our leading event venues.

At 14 Henrietta Street, visitors can experience over 300 years of Dublin history by following this beautiful building's story from Georgian townhouse to tenement dwelling.

Our initiatives

Dublin City Council Culture Company manages a variety of programmes to support culture in the city.

The Culture Club programme encourages people to connect with Dublin's cultural spaces through free talks and tours, while the National Neighbourhood programme creates ways for communities to see and make culture for themselves.

Our handy online map, Culture Near You, also highlights where culture happens in your area in an effort to make Dublin's cultural buildings, networks and organisations more visible.

Dublin City Council Culture Company also manages a number of creative and cultural residencies across Dublin.
