The rates of contribution under Dublin City Council's Development Contribution Scheme.

Development Contribution Scheme 2023-2026 

Notice is hereby given that Dublin City Council at its Monthly Meeting of Council held on 3rd of March 2025 approved the SCSI Tender Price Indexation rate increase of 2.93%. This will be applied to the industrial/commercial and residential development levy rate under the Section 48 Development Contribution Scheme 2023-2026 with effect from the 1st April 2025. 

The rates of contribution applicable under the Scheme for the administrative area of Dublin City Council are as follows:

Development Contribution Scheme 2020-2023 

Notice is hereby given that Dublin City Council at its monthly meeting of Council, held on the 7th November 2022 approved that the SCSI indexation rate of 13.98 % is applied to the industrial/commercial and residential development levy rates under the Council’s Section 48 Development Contribution Scheme 2020 to 2023 with effect from the 1st January 2023.

The rates of contribution under the Scheme for the administrative area of Dublin City Council are as follows:

Industrial/Commercial Development €118.60 per square metre
Residential €113.82 per square metre

 

The Scheme is effective in respect of planning applications lodged with Dublin City Council from the 1st of April 2020, where a development contribution is applicable under this scheme. The Scheme is also effective in respect of existing permissions granted before this date which have not yet commenced.
