Section 48 Development Contributions
The rates of contribution under Dublin City Council's Development Contribution Scheme.
Notice is hereby given that Dublin City Council at its Monthly Meeting of Council held on 6th March 2023 made a Development Contribution Scheme in accordance with the provisions of Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended.
The rates of contribution under the Development Contribution Scheme as made for the administrative area of Dublin City Council are as follows:

The above rates shall be fixed from 1st April 2023 to 31st December 2024. Consideration may be given to applying indexation to the rates of contribution effective thereafter in consideration of the SCSI Construction Tender Price Index.
This scheme is effective in respect of Planning Applications lodged with Dublin City Council from 1st April 2023, where a development contribution is applicable under this Scheme.
In the case of existing permissions granted before the 1st April 2023, which have not yet commenced and in the case of applications lodged but not yet decided the applicable scheme is the scheme in place at the time of lodgement of the relevant application.
Development Contribution Scheme 2020-2023
Notice is hereby given that Dublin City Council at its monthly meeting of Council, held on the 7th November 2022 approved that the SCSI indexation rate of 13.98 % is applied to the industrial/commercial and residential development levy rates under the Council’s Section 48 Development Contribution Scheme 2020 to 2023 with effect from the 1st January 2023.
The rates of contribution under the Scheme for the administrative area of Dublin City Council are as follows:

The Scheme is effective in respect of planning applications lodged with Dublin City Council from the 1st of April 2020, where a development contribution is applicable under this scheme. The Scheme is also effective in respect of existing permissions granted before this date which have not yet commenced.
