The name Du Bedat or Dubedat appears in Irish literary references, most notably in George Bernard Shaw's play The Doctor's Dilemma (1906) and James Joyce's novel Ulysses, where it's linked to the fictional Lady Gwendolen DuBedat.
One of the aims of the collection is to reassure parents that we have books in stock for them specifically, as sterile as possible if they are nervous about infection
There is a selection of documents from the Fergus McCabe Community Development Archive on display in the Reading Room of Dublin City Library and Archive from August 12th – September 13th during the opening hours: Monday to Thursday, 10am to 8pm and Friday to Saturday 10am - 5pm.
