One Dublin One Book 2025: Dublin, written in our hearts

One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.
Dublin Climate Action Week will take place from the 12–18 of May 2025 and is organised by the four Dublin Local Authorities, the Dublin Climate Action Regional Office (CARO) and Dublin’s Energy Agency, Codema.
World Book Day: Dublin Firefighter releases new book
To coincide with World Book Day, a Dublin Fire Brigade Firefighter/Paramedic releases new book to help teach children what to do in an emergency. Two percent of all proceeds will be donated directly to the charity Oscar’s Kids.
Dublin City Libraries Closure: Thursday 20 February

As part of Healthy Ireland at your Library funding, we're rolling out Lightboxes to all our branche to which would be provided in all our Librar help prevent Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in the darker months.
Social stories explain social situations to autistic children and help them learn ways of behaving in these situations. These stories are sometimes called social scripts, social narratives or story-based interventions.
