One Dublin One Book 2025: Dublin, written in our hearts
11 March 2025
One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.
First established in 2006, the An Post Irish Book Awards bring together a vast community passionate about books – readers, authors, booksellers, publishers and librarians – to recognise the very best of new and established Irish writing talent.
Family events and activities take place in all libraries during the month of December to support the involvement of the whole family in children’s reading.
My Open Library is an unstaffed, self-service library, available at Raheny Library every day of the year! During My Open Library Hours you can borrow and return items, print, photocopy, use the Internet, access Free Wifi and use our study space.
Welcome to our new Dublin City Libraries book blog, Shelf Life! We will bring you the best of our library catalogue and help you find your next great read.
