Bridgefoot Street Park

Bridgefoot Street Park is a newly created public park from a brownfield site in the Liberties, developed by Dublin City Council in close collaboration with local residents and community groups.

Since its opening in 2022, Bridgefoot Street Park has become a valued green space for recreation, gathering and biodiversity. Designed with sustainability and inclusivity in mind, it features a mix of hard and soft landscaping, native planting, play areas and a community garden.

Materials used throughout the park include recycled and salvaged elements from the site itself, reflecting a circular approach to design. The park continues to evolve through active community engagement and a light-touch, nature-directed wildflower planting approach. Native flower species are encouraged to establish and adapt freely, creating a dynamic and self-sustaining urban landscape.

Bridgefoot Street Park is part of a wider greening strategy for Dublin 8, which supports access to nature and improves quality of life in the inner city.
