People's Park, Ballyfermot

The park's design was developed by Dublin City Council’s Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services in close collaboration with local residents. The design emerged from months of on-site conversations and public consultation, reflecting the community’s vision for a welcoming and inclusive public park.

The park features a winding perimeter path and gentle earth mounding planted with native trees and herbaceous species to bring seasonal colour and support biodiversity. A pergola structure and open market space provide a setting for small gatherings, food stalls, and craft fairs, while a movement trail with playful elements encourages informal exercise, play and outdoor activity.
