Mountjoy Square Park Conservation Plan
Read our conservation plan which aims to ensure that Mountjoy Square Park remains a valued cultural asset.
Dublin City Council’s Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services, in collaboration with the Mountjoy Square Society, developed a comprehensive Conservation Plan for Mountjoy Square Park. The plan explores over 200 years of history and documents the park’s evolution through historic maps, photographs and landscape analysis. It assesses the park’s significance as part of Dublin’s Georgian heritage and its designation as an Architectural Conservation Area.
Recommendations include policies to guide future conservation, restoration and public use, ensuring the park remains a valued cultural asset for the city.
