A complaint may be made by anyone who is dissatisfied with Dublin Fire Brigade's service - or by someone acting on their behalf and with their consent.
Make a Complaint to Dublin Fire Brigade
Any member of the public requiring assistance in making a complaint may contact the service through any of the following methods:
- In person at any of our premises.
- By telephone on (01) 222 4000.

Make a Complaint to the Ombudsman
We promise to do our best to resolve your complaint satisfactorily. However, if you remain unhappy with our response, you can then refer your complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman.
The Office of the Ombudsman investigates complaints from members of the public who believe they have been unfairly treated by public service providers. The Ombudsman is impartial and making a complaint is free.
The Ombudsman will ask for a copy of Dublin Fire Brigade's final response letter to your complaint. This is to ensure you made a complaint directly to us first.
You can make a complaint to the Ombudsman through either of the following methods:
- By filling out a ‘Make A Complaint’ form on the Ombudman's website.
- By call (01) 639 5600 to request a hard copy complaint form.
