Greater Dublin Area Cycling Network Plan
A Cycling Network Plan has been outlined for the Greater Dublin Area by the National Transport Authority (NTA).
Please Note: The NTA is currently in the process of updating the GDA Cycle Network Plan and anticipates that this will be published later in 2022. The updated Cycle Network Plan will be an important input into the upcoming review of the Transport Strategy for the Greater Dublin Area.
The Draft Plan and accompanying documents can be found here.
The Cycling Network Plan will provide a consistent cycling network across Dublin City Council and link to the Greater Dublin Area. The cycle network will comprise of urban cycle routes and greenways (scenic recreational routes along a canal, old rail line or natural landscape) via primary and secondary routes, feeder networks or roads.
Dublin City Council is committed to ensuring that cycling as a transport mode is supported, enhanced and exploited, in order to achieve the strategic objectives set out by the Greater Dublin Area Cycling Network Plan.
