Dublin City Council adopted the Park West - Cherry Orchard Local Area Plan in October 2019 in accordance with Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended).

Notice of the resolution to extend the life of the Park West - Cherry Orchard Local Area Plan 2019
Notice is hereby given that the Elected Members of Dublin City Council resolved to extend the Park West - Cherry Orchard Local Area Plan 2019, for a further period of five years, at the City Council meeting on the 7th October 2024.
Having considered Report No. 180/2024, the City Council and in accordance with the provisions of Section 19 and 20 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), the members approved the extension of the Park West - Cherry Orchard Local Area Plan, until 4th November 2029.
The vision of the plan is to make Park West - Cherry Orchard an attractive and identifiable place with a vibrant and active community. To provide a good mix of residential typologies that will cater for all people and residents will have the benefit from the provision of local shops, schools, parks and community and recreational facilities. To ensure commercial and enterprise space that will provide opportunities for local employment and benefiting from a high quality integrated public transport network system.
