One Dublin One Book 2025: Dublin, written in our hearts

One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.
New library proposed for Drimnagh/Crumlin. Dublin City Council wishes to give notice that it intends to initiate the process leading to an application under Part 8 of the Local Government Planning & Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) for the construction of a new public library and renovation of existing building to create a new public amenity on Crumlin Road.
This book does a brilliant job of tracing how Dublin evolved over the centuries—from its humble Viking beginnings right up to its status as a buzzing European capital.
Unveiling a commemorative plaque in honour of the iconic Irish actress, Maureen O’Hara, on Sat, 7 Sept. at 11am at O’Hara’s childhood home, 32 Beechwood Avenue Upper, Ranelagh, Dublin 6, D06 E9T4.
The section’s main aim is to go out into the community and let people know about all the amazing things available in their library, both in branch and online.
