Irish Rail intends to close the following road to facilitate Rail Level Crossing upgrade works on the dates and times listed below:

Traffic Management Plan

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
  • Local access will be maintained separately on both sides of the level crossing.
  • Other traffic at Merrion Road/Aliesbury Road Junction wishing to cross railway line at Sydney Parade will be diverted south on Merion Road, Strand Road and onto Sydney Parade Avenue.
  • Traffic on Sydney Parade Avenue/Park Avenue Junction wishing to cross railway line to Sydney Parade will be diverted onto Park Avenue, Gilford Road, Sandymount Avenue and onto Merrion Road up to the Junction with Aliesbury Road.
