Removal of inbound general traffic diversion, Edge`s Corner to Five Lamps Junction – Sunday evening 1st September

  • The current diversion of inbound traffic from Edge`s Corner (Fairview Strand), via Ballybough and Portland Row has been a vitally important element to facilitate the completion of the C2CC Scheme along North Strand Road. Works on the outbound side of North Strand Road have progressed considerably in recent months.
  • On Sunday evening 1st September the inbound general traffic lane between Edge`s Corner (Fairview Strand) and Five Lamps junction shall be made available again i.e. inbound general traffic along Annesley Bridge Road and North Strand Road shall be permitted.
  • VMS boards shall be erected along the route in advance indicating to commuters and local traffic that the diversion is to be removed
  • It is noted that for the next number of months off-peak works (mid-week, evenings and weekends), positioned in the road and the cycle-track shall still be required in order to complete remaining junction installations, snagging works etc.
