One Dublin One Book 2025: Dublin, written in our hearts

One Dublin One Book aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. This annual project is a Dublin City Council initiative, led by Dublin City Libraries and Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, which encourages reading for pleasure.
A free bedtime story book and library card wallet are available at the library for all children of 4 years and under, to pick up and keep. This exciting initiative aims to engage all parents of young children to read stories with them at bedtime.
Family events and activities take place in all libraries during the month of December to support the involvement of the whole family in children’s reading.
Storytelling and Toddler groups at Dublin City Libraries
Toddler Group / Baby Group/ Storytime for children takes place in the following Dublin City Libraries on a regular basis. Days and times can vary so it is advisable to check with the relevant library in advance.
The section’s main aim is to go out into the community and let people know about all the amazing things available in their library, both in branch and online.
